Setting up mining meetings in Tanzania, without the flight

Finding the right person at a mining company is the hard part. Panta Noura did it before anyone booked a ticket.

One of our sister companies, 88Chemco, wanted to put proposals in front of mining companies in Tanzania. The usual route is to fly out, work out who matters at each company, and hope they have time for you.

Our team did the groundwork instead. We did the reconnaissance, found the key stakeholders at each company, connected them with 88Chemco and set up the meetings.

The meetings ended up taking place on Teams. That saved a great deal of time and money: nobody had to hunt down the right office, and nobody had to travel to Tanzania for a first conversation. 88Chemco went on to prepare a couple of proposals for the companies it met.

If a delegation does need to travel

Visiting Tanzania for work often involves an invitation letter from a local company. Panta Noura is registered with BRELA, so we can provide that letter for a delegation, even when the company you are meeting has not sent one. Decisions on visas and permits rest with immigration, as always.

What this comes down to

A name and a presence in Tanzania opens doors that a cold email does not. It means you can put your effort into the proposal, not into the search for who to send it to.
